BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP MICHIGAN, Deputies are investigating a deadly vehicle crash that occurred Friday morning on M-60 near 9 Mile Road in Burlington Township, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said deputies were called to the scene at approximately 7:00 a.m. after reports of a crash involving two vehicles. Investigators noted that icy conditions and snow drifts were present on the roadway at the time of the collision.
A 54-year-old woman from Morrice was pronounced dead at the scene. A second individual involved in the crash was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.
M-60 was closed for several hours while deputies conducted their investigation. The roadway has since reopened.
