Police said officers were dispatched to the restaurant at about 10:45 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found Mayco Bravo Gonzalez, 26, of East Ridge, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers immediately provided life-saving aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. Gonzalez was taken to Erlanger Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators said witnesses reported seeing a man and a woman enter the restaurant together and place an order.

Surveillance video shows the pair interacting with employees and briefly exchanging words with Gonzalez before leaving the restaurant, according to police.

Authorities said the male suspect later returned to the restaurant armed with a firearm and fired multiple shots at Gonzalez while he was seated with his back turned.

Police stated that the female suspect also re-entered the restaurant while armed but did not fire her weapon.

Allen and Simmons have both been charged with criminal homicide.

Police said the investigation remains active and ongoing, and additional charges may be filed as detectives continue reviewing evidence and interviewing witnesses.

No further details have been released.
