Waterford Police Request Public Help in Unsolved 2018 Woman’s Killing

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. Police are continuing to seek information in the unsolved 2018 killing of a woman whose body was found in the street, with a reward now being offered for tips that could help solve the case.
Samantha Cosway was found shot to death in 2018, lying in the roadway on LaSalle Street, west of Telegraph Road, in Waterford Township. Investigators said Cosway, who also went by her middle name Oriana, was discovered near the Waterford–Pontiac border.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information related to her unsolved murder.
Cosway was 24 years old when she was found dead on Nov. 11, 2018. Police said witnesses in the area reported hearing several gunshots around the time of the incident.
Detectives believe Cosway was killed between 8:40 p.m. and 8:46 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, based on witness statements, physical evidence, and surveillance video from nearby businesses.
Authorities said Cosway was not a resident of the neighborhood, and investigators do not believe the killing was a random act of violence.
One suspect was arrested during the investigation but later released without charges.
