19-year-old Jamarion King killed in Albany shooting

ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany Police Department is currently looking into a shooting that took place Wednesday evening in the 1600 block of West Highland Avenue.

Officers rushed to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire around 4:37 p.m. When they arrived, they found two people who had been shot.

Both victims were quickly taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for medical care.

Sadly, one of the victims, a 19-year-old named Jamarion King, later died from his injuries at the hospital.

As for the second victim, their condition hasn’t been shared with the public yet.

Authorities are still working to identify any suspects and have not revealed a possible motive for the shooting.
