West Abbotsford Incident Leaves One Person Injured, Police Investigating

ABBOTSFORD SHOOTING INCIDENT, prompted a significant police response in west Abbotsford on Friday, January 9, after authorities reported a targeted shooting in the area.

The incident took place in the 3200 block of Siskin Drive, just west of Blue Jay Street. Officers with the Abbotsford Police Department responded to the scene and secured the area while an investigation was carried out.

Police stated that the shooting is not believed to be related to extortion and emphasized that there is no ongoing risk to the public. As a precaution, Siskin Drive was closed between Sandpiper Drive and Stellar Court at approximately 2:30 p.m. to allow investigators to conduct their work.
