One Person Injured in Monday Night Shooting on Hedgewood Court in Lexington

Lexington police are investigating a Monday night shooting in a residential area that left one person injured, according to officials.

Officers with the Lexington Police Department were dispatched at approximately 7:00 p.m. to the 200 block of Hedgewood Court after receiving reports that a person had been shot. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Emergency medical personnel provided treatment at the scene before transporting the victim to a local hospital. Authorities have not released information about the individual’s current condition.

Police have not disclosed details regarding a suspect, a possible motive, or whether any arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Investigators remained at the location for several hours, collecting evidence and speaking with potential witnesses.
