Police were dispatched to the residence shortly before 6:30 p.m. after multiple 911 calls reported gunfire and distress. Responding officers located an adult male and two young children inside the home with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. A woman believed to be the children’s mother was also present. She was physically unharmed but receiving emotional support.

Willey and one child were pronounced deceased at the scene. The second child was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition and later passed away. The woman continues to receive care and support.

Outside the residence, officers found another adult male who appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators stated that a handgun was used in the incident and are treating the case as a homicide-suicide. At this stage, police say there were no known family connections between the two adult men and the two children.

The identities of the second child and the other adult male have not yet been released pending notification of relatives. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting local authorities as the investigation progresses.

Chief David Pauly described the incident as deeply distressing for both the community and first responders. City officials echoed this sentiment, noting that the event has had a significant emotional impact across Tiffin.

Neighbors expressed shock over the incident, sharing that the area is typically quiet. Community organizations and workplaces connected to the family also released statements offering condolences.
