TRUMBULL, Conn. — Police are investigating a reported shooting incident at Trumbull Mall Friday evening that prompted a significant law enforcement response and the activation of the Fairfield County Blue Plan, authorities confirmed.
The incident was reported at approximately 5:40 p.m. in the mall’s upper-level food court area. According to preliminary information provided by officials, a teenage male was reported to have displayed a firearm, and one shot was fired inside the shopping center.
Trumbull police officers responded immediately to the scene and requested assistance from surrounding law enforcement agencies through the Fairfield County Blue Plan.
