Reports of shooting at Outlets mall in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, AR — Authorities are currently responding to a reported shooting at the Outlets of Little Rock this Wednesday afternoon, which has led to a lockdown of the shopping center.
Initial reports indicate that the incident took place near Kay Jewelers inside the mall. A video that’s been making the rounds online seems to show someone waving a firearm within the premises.
Law enforcement sources have confirmed that at least one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the event.
Beckie Whipple Smith, a local resident, shared that her granddaughter, who manages the Five Below store at the outlet, wasn’t working at the time but returned to help law enforcement. According to Smith, her granddaughter stayed at the store to secure it and provide police with surveillance footage.
As of now, the suspected shooter is still at large. Police have put all stores in the mall on lockdown while they work to secure the scene and carry out their investigation.
No further injuries have been reported, and officials are advising the public to steer clear of the area.
The investigation is still active and ongoing.
