Suspect and Officer Injured in Aurora Police Shooting Incident

AURORA COLORADO, authorities responded to an officer-involved shooting on Thursday at a residence in Arapahoe County involving an armed and reportedly suicidal individual.
According to initial reports, officers were dispatched to the 14067 block of East Stanford Circle following calls of a person in crisis who was armed with a knife.
During the response, shots were fired at the location, resulting in an officer-involved shooting.
Emergency medical services were requested for both the suspect and an injured officer. The extent of their injuries has not yet been publicly disclosed.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that the scene has since been secured, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
