Country Club Hills Shooting: Victims Killed Identified by Authorities

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS MISSOURI, authorities are investigating a double homicide after two men were found fatally shot late Thursday night.
According to police, officers with the City of Country Club Hills responded at approximately 10:25 p.m. on April 9, 2026, to reports of a shooting in the 5600 block of Gatesworth Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
They have since been identified as Alex Taylor and Ogee Meeski.
At this time, no suspects have been taken into custody, and investigators have not released details regarding a possible motive.
Due to the seriousness of the case, the City of Country Club Hills requested the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons to take over the investigation.
The case remains active, and officials noted that details are preliminary and may change as the investigation continues.
Detectives are working to collect evidence and identify those responsible.
