Tragic Death of 4-Year-Old Zuri Dixon After Domestic Dispute Stabbing in Southwest Atlanta

SOUTHWEST ATLANTA, Authorities in Atlanta are investigating a tragic domestic violence incident that resulted in the death of a 4-year-old girl late Saturday night, leaving a community and family grieving.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance at an apartment complex on Alison Court in Southwest Atlanta at approximately 11:30 p.m. on March 14, 2026.
When officers arrived, they encountered a chaotic and dangerous situation involving an adult male and a young child.
Police said the man had allegedly stabbed the child multiple times during the domestic dispute.
Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation and eventually persuaded the suspect to safely surrender the injured child.
Emergency responders immediately transported both the man and the child to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Despite life-saving efforts by medical personnel, the young victim—identified by family members as Zuri Dixon—later died from her injuries.
The adult male involved in the incident was taken into custody, although authorities have not yet released details regarding his condition or the charges he may face.
Investigators are still working to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, including the relationship between the suspect and the child.
