Fall River Man Sentenced in Superior Court After Pleading Guilty to Multiple Drug Charges

FALL RIVER MASSACHUSETTS, A Fall River man has been sentenced in Fall River Superior Court after pleading guilty to multiple drug-related charges.
According to police, in November 2024, the Community Action & Suppression Team executed a search warrant at an apartment located at 100 Green Street. The target of the investigation was identified as Shane Battle.
As a result of the search, detectives reported seizing $2,696 in cash, 72.2 grams of cocaine, 11 Suboxone strips, 10 glassine bags of fentanyl, 70 Diazepam 0.5 mg pills, and 69 Diazepam 10 mg pills.
Battle was initially charged with trafficking cocaine over 36 grams (subsequent offense), possession of a Class A substance (fentanyl), possession of a Class B substance (Suboxone), and possession with intent to distribute a Class C substance (Diazepam).
According to court records, on Monday, Battle pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A substance (fentanyl) and trafficking cocaine over 18 grams but less than 36 grams.
He was sentenced to serve not less than three and a half years and not more than five years in state prison, with credit for 207 days already served.
