Clarksville House Fire Leaves Mother and Five Children Dead, Father Survives

CLARKSVILLE OHIO, A devastating house fire in Clarksville has claimed the lives of a mother and her five young children, leaving the children’s father as the sole survivor of the tragedy.
Authorities said the fire began at approximately 6:40 a.m. Tuesday at a residence on the 100 block of Main Street between Spring Hill Road and South First Street in Clinton County. Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene as flames engulfed the home.
Firefighters began suppression efforts and entered the structure shortly after arriving. At approximately 6:45 a.m., crews located one surviving adult male inside the residence.
The survivor was later identified as Tommy Allen Jr., the fiancé of Brooke Gordon and the father of the five children. He suffered serious injuries and was transported to Miami Valley Hospital for medical treatment.
Officials confirmed that Brooke Gordon and her children — Zayden, 10; Hudson, 8; Ashton, 6; Bostyn, 2; and Tomlyn, 9 months — died in the fire.
A fundraising campaign created by family supporters stated that Allen now faces the difficult process of recovering from his injuries while coping with the loss of his family. Donations are intended to help cover funeral expenses and assist with housing and essential needs during his recovery.
Eight firefighters were also treated for injuries while battling the blaze but are expected to recover.
Investigators continue working to determine the cause of the fire.
