45-Year-Old Brandon Hall Fatally Shot by Soddy-Daisy Police Officer During Traffic Stop

SODDY-DAISY TENNESSEE, The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has identified the man killed in an officer-involved shooting in Soddy-Daisy as 45-year-old Brandon Hall.

According to preliminary information released by the TBI, the incident began at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, when a Soddy-Daisy police officer conducted a traffic stop near 8640 Dayton Pike, outside a Circle K convenience store.

Investigators stated that the encounter escalated for reasons that remain under investigation. During the escalation, the officer discharged a firearm, striking Hall.

Emergency medical personnel transported Hall to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities confirmed that the officer involved in the shooting was not injured.

The Soddy-Daisy Police Department reported a large police presence in front of the Circle K following the incident. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is leading the inquiry at the request of District Attorney General Coty Wamp.

As part of standard procedure in Tennessee, the TBI will conduct an independent investigation into the circumstances of the shooting.
