Sayde Titus and Sterling James Arrested in Nebraska After Pregnant Woman and Husband Found Missing

LINCOLN, NE, A Nebraska couple has been arrested in connection with the disappearance and suspected deaths of a pregnant woman and her husband, according to authorities.
Sterling James, 24, and his wife, Sayde Titus, 22, were taken into custody following an investigation into the January disappearance of Hannah Neville, 26, and her husband, Roberto Tanner, 27. Officials said Neville was seven months pregnant at the time she was last seen.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, investigators allege that James confessed to fatally shooting Tanner and Neville between the late hours of January 15 and the early morning of January 16. Police stated that James and Tanner are half-brothers. Titus is accused of assisting James in concealing the bodies after the alleged shootings.
Authorities said Neville and Tanner were last seen together on January 15 at Titus’s apartment in Lincoln. Investigators used cellphone location data and witness statements, which placed the couple at the apartment that evening. Neville’s vehicle was later found burning in Lincoln early on January 16, and her phone was no longer in service when authorities attempted to contact her.
The disappearance was initially reported after concerns were raised by Neville’s roommate and her doctor due to missed appointments. Polk County authorities subsequently contacted Lincoln police as part of the investigation into the couple’s whereabouts.
Police have charged James with two counts of first-degree murder. Titus has been charged with two counts of aiding and abetting first-degree murder. Investigators stated that efforts to locate the bodies are ongoing. It has not yet been confirmed whether either suspect has entered pleas or retained legal representation.
The Lincoln Police Department said the investigation remains active and that no additional details about the alleged crimes have been released at this time.
