Police Identify Man in Sarasota Shooting That Left Five Dead

SARASOTA FLORIDA, authorities have identified Anatoly “Tony” Ioffe, 61, as the man involved in a domestic-related shooting that left five family members dead at a residence on Fallcrest Circle.
Investigators said Ioffe was found deceased outside the home at 4822 Fallcrest Circle after allegedly shooting family members inside the residence. Officials have not yet released the names of the other victims as they continue next-of-kin notifications.
According to authorities, Ioffe was born Oct. 11, 1964, and owned the home where the incident occurred. He was also associated with ARGOMED GROUP LLC and worked as a physician in general practice, treating and managing a range of medical conditions.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting at the residence on Sunday. Deputies initially located one deceased individual and later discovered four additional victims inside the home, bringing the total number of fatalities to five.
Officials have described the case as domestic in nature and said it appears to be an isolated incident. Law enforcement emphasized there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Multiple specialized units, including Crime Scene, Forensics, Criminal Investigations, Victim Advocates, Patrol Bureau personnel, and an Unmanned Aircraft System, were deployed to process the scene and reconstruct the events leading up to the shooting.
A significant law enforcement presence remained in the area as the investigation continued. Road closures were implemented near Proctor Road and McIntosh Road, with additional traffic restrictions extending toward Honore Avenue. Authorities established command and staging areas to coordinate the response.
The incident has deeply affected the Sarasota community, with neighbors expressing shock at the loss. Investigators have not publicly disclosed a possible motive.
The case remains under active investigation, and officials said additional details will be released as they become available.
