LOS ANGELES, CA, Francine Beppu, a respected community builder, brand and activation strategist, and partnerships leader originally from Honolulu, has died following a medical emergency last weekend. She was 43.
A longtime resident of Los Angeles, Beppu was widely regarded across the entertainment, media, and technology industries for her forward-thinking approach and her ability to connect people, ideas, and purpose-driven brands. With more than two decades of experience spanning corporate innovation and startup ecosystems, she built a career focused on meaningful growth and authentic community engagement.
Beppu served as Founder and President of BADLIARS COLLECTIVE PBC, where she specialized in purpose-led growth strategies, partnerships, and brand activations. Through her leadership, she supported organizations in identifying new revenue opportunities, strengthening strategic relationships, elevating brand visibility, and improving operational efficiency. Colleagues described her as someone who blended analytical insight with creative vision.
She was also deeply engaged in the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology, often exploring innovative approaches to enhance audience experiences while maintaining authenticity in evolving digital spaces.
Born on February 27, 1982, Beppu graduated from Punahou School and later earned her degree from the NYU Stern School of Business. Her academic background complemented her entrepreneurial mindset and strategic leadership throughout her career.
In addition to her professional achievements, Beppu was committed to community service and representation. She volunteered as a member of the Board of Directors for the Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation, contributing to initiatives that supported and celebrated the LGBTQ+ community in Hawaii.
