Las Vegas Police Search for Missing Mother Tawnia McGeehan and Daughter Addi Smith

LAS VEGAS NEVADA, A competitive cheer organization based in West Jordan is asking for the public’s assistance in locating one of its athletes and her mother after they did not arrive at a scheduled competition in Las Vegas.
In a social media statement, Utah Xtreme Cheer said the athlete and her mother were unreachable after failing to appear at the event, raising concern among team officials and family members.
“This is not the post we ever wanted to make, but we need the cheer community’s help,” the organization wrote. “At this point, we are extremely worried. Police have been contacted.”
A flyer shared by the organization identifies the missing individuals as Tawnia McGeehan and Addi Smith. According to the post, they were last seen on February 14 at approximately 8 p.m. at the New York-New York Hotel in Las Vegas.
Team representatives stated that multiple attempts to contact them were unsuccessful. Members of the cheer community noted that it is uncommon for athletes and families traveling for competitions to lose communication in this manner.
Utah Xtreme Cheer is asking anyone who may have seen the pair or who has information about their whereabouts to call or text 385-985-7249. The organization has also encouraged supporters to share the alert to help increase awareness.
Individuals with information are urged to contact local law enforcement in Las Vegas or reach out directly to the family.
The situation remains active, and authorities have been notified as efforts to locate the missing mother and daughter continue.
