IRVING, TEXAS, — One person has died and another remains in critical condition following a suspected road rage shooting that prompted a large police response and road closures in Irving on Wednesday.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Belt Line Road and Finley Road, where officers with the Irving Police Department responded to reports of a shooting. Authorities confirmed that one individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while a second victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Due to the ongoing investigation, a significant portion of the surrounding area was shut down. Police urged drivers and nearby residents to avoid the area while detectives worked to process the scene.
