Eustasis Springfield MO Shooting: One Injured, One Arrested at Psychiatric Facility

SPRINGFIELD, MO, Police are investigating a shooting that took place Friday afternoon at Eustasis Psychiatric & Addiction Health on South National Avenue.
Officers responded shortly after 2 p.m. following reports of a man with a gun and shots fired inside the facility, which is located along National Avenue. Early dispatch information indicated that the incident occurred in Room 101.
When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they secured the building and detained one individual. Authorities confirmed that one person was injured during the incident, though officials have not yet released details about the severity of the injuries.
Police maintained a strong presence at the location while clearing the facility room by room to ensure there was no continuing threat. Investigators also began collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses as part of the ongoing inquiry.
