SARASOTA FLORIDA, The community of Sarasota is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Drayton Dean Lutz, who passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 17, after suffering a sudden medical emergency. He was surrounded by his loved ones in his final moments.
Drayton was a devoted father, cherished son, proud veteran, and loyal friend. Those who knew him describe a man whose identity was rooted in family — someone who loved deeply, protected fiercely, and gave wholeheartedly. Above all, he was a proud father whose greatest joy in life was his son, Everett.
His father, Dean Lutz, shared an emotional tribute honoring his son’s life and legacy:
“At 9:50 last night, a man, daddy, brother, veteran, a love of a mother and father, passed on to be with Jesus and son Ryker. Drayton Dean Lutz was Susie and I’s EVERYTHING. He’ll be brutally missed but NEVER FORGOTTEN. Rest easy our son. Thanks for all the prayers, as his son Everett will still need lots of love and prayers to continue.”
