Deadly Stabbing Under Investigation After Body Discovered at Tollcross Park in Glasgow

GLASGOW, police have launched a murder investigation after a person was found dead in a swimming pool at Tollcross Park on Monday, February 9.
Police Scotland officers were called to the Tollcross International Swimming Centre on Wellshot Road after reports that an individual had been found unresponsive. Emergency services attended the scene and confirmed the person had died.
Authorities said the victim appeared to have suffered a stab wound. The death is being treated as suspicious.
Following the discovery, the park and swimming centre were evacuated as officers secured the area. A large police presence remains in place while forensic teams continue to examine the scene and collect evidence.
Detectives are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area and speaking with potential witnesses who may have been in or around Tollcross Park earlier in the day.
Police have not released the identity of the victim, and no arrests have been announced at this stage.
Extra patrols have been deployed in the area as enquiries continue. Police Scotland is urging anyone with information that may assist the investigation to come forward.
