Although officials initially withheld the victims’ names pending formal notification, they were later identified publicly as Matthew Wade, 28, of Mississippi, and Katerina “Kate” Tovmash, 21. Authorities said the suspect, 25-year-old Caleb Hayden Fosnaugh of Ohio, fled the area in a white 2018 Ford Mustang before law enforcement arrived.

Investigators issued a statewide alert for Fosnaugh, who they said had a prior relationship with one of the victims. Authorities believed he may have returned to Ohio. He was located and arrested in Coshocton, Ohio, at approximately 3 p.m. Saturday, several hours after the shooting.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said in a statement that officials were grateful for the coordination between agencies that led to the suspect’s arrest.

While investigators have not publicly detailed the events leading up to the shooting, authorities confirmed that Fosnaugh has been charged with breaking and entering and two counts of murder in connection with the case.

Family members and friends have shared tributes remembering the victims. Tovmash was described by loved ones as kind and supportive, and Wade’s family noted that he was actively serving in the U.S. Army and had future travel plans through his service.
