Andrew Carroll Identified as Bradley Central High School Student Killed in Tragic Incident

ANDREW CARROLL, The Cleveland community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Andrew Carroll, a junior at Bradley Central High School, whose life was tragically cut short in a recent car crash. His passing has left a profound void among family members, friends, classmates, and educators who knew him as a young man of character, kindness, and quiet strength.
Andrew was the son of Jonathan and Holly Carroll and was widely admired for both his academic and personal qualities. In recognition of his dedication and positive influence, he was named The Town Squire High School Student of the Month for September, an honor reflecting the respect he earned from teachers and peers alike.
His grandfather, Dennis L. Carroll, shared a deeply emotional tribute describing the devastation felt by the Carroll/Mowery family. He spoke of Andrew as his lifelong “sidekick” and expressed the immeasurable pain of losing someone so deeply loved. His words captured the raw grief of a family bound by closeness and love, and included a heartfelt request for prayers as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
Andrew’s impact extended beyond the classroom and into athletics. The Bradley Central Football program released a statement honoring him not just as a teammate, but as a brother and competitor who represented the program with pride and integrity.
“Once a Bear, Always a Bear,” the statement read, as the team expressed condolences to Andrew’s family and all who loved him.
Tributes also came from Michigan Avenue Elementary School, where Andrew was a former student. Teachers and staff remembered him as a rare light—brilliantly smart, deeply kind, and wise beyond his years. Even as a young child, Andrew was known for his calm presence, genuine warmth, and an “old soul” that made others feel safe and welcome.
His ability to bring comfort simply by being himself left a lasting impression on everyone around him.
Andrew Carroll is remembered as more than a student or athlete. He was a son, a grandson, a friend, and a young man whose compassion and spirit touched lives at every stage of his journey. His legacy of kindness, love, and quiet leadership will endure in the hearts of those who knew him and in the community that continues to grieve his loss.
As Cleveland comes together in mourning, prayers and support continue to surround the Carroll family, honoring a life that—though far too short—made a lasting and meaningful impact.
