13-Year-Old Sharon Boy Battling Cancer to Attend Super Bowl Through Make-A-Wish

SHARON MASS, A 13-year-old football fan from Sharon is getting the trip of a lifetime as he travels to Santa Clara, California, to attend the Super Bowl through a partnership with Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, the NFL, and Fanatics.
Zeeshan Mohammed said football helped distract him during difficult moments while he was hospitalized and receiving treatment for lymphoma. Now, he will have the chance to cheer for his favorite team on football’s biggest stage.
“When his medical team brought up that he is qualified for a wish, this was not what we had in mind, certainly,” said his mother, Afreen Banu. “As parents, what’s more happy than seeing your child experience something and cherish it for life?”
Mohammed is one of 24 Make-A-Wish recipients from across the country selected to attend Super Bowl LX.
In addition to watching the game in person, the group will take part in a shopping spree and receive a behind-the-scenes tour of Levi’s Stadium.
“Maybe if we’re lucky, we can meet some players,” Mohammed said.
Mohammed shared that Drake Maye is his favorite player, and he is predicting a 28–27 Patriots victory on Sunday.
