Two Teens Killed After BMW Crashes in Hicksville, Nassau County

HICKSVILLE NEW YORK, two teenage girls from Long Island were killed after the BMW they were riding in crashed late Friday night, while the driver survived and authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
Nassau County police said the crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. as a 23-year-old male was driving a BMW westbound on Old Country Road in Hicksville. The vehicle reportedly lost control, crossed into oncoming traffic, struck a tree, and then crashed into a nearby building.
The victims were identified as Alexa Duryea and Lindsey Rose Parke, both 19, of Levittown. Police said both women were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
According to News12, Duryea and Parke suffered severe trauma and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities have not publicly released his identity or provided details about his condition.
Investigators have not yet determined what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Police said it remains unclear whether factors such as speed or impairment played a role in the crash.
Following the tragedy, family members and friends shared tributes on social media.
Parke’s brother, Timmy Jake, wrote in a Facebook post that “heaven has gained the strongest guardian angel.”
Families also shared funeral and memorial arrangements. According to relatives, wake services for Lindsey Rose Parke will be held at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home at 2786 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown on Wednesday, Jan. 28, with visiting hours scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A GoFundMe created in Parke’s memory described her as a selfless and caring person who was known for helping others. The post noted that she was a daughter, sister, friend, firefighter, EMT, and baker who often put others before herself.
A separate GoFundMe for Alexa Duryea described her as deeply loved by her family and friends and said her sudden death has left a profound loss for those who knew her.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing and that it is not yet known whether the driver will face any charges.
