WAUKESHA WISCONSIN, The Waukesha community is mourning the passing of Thor Kappers, a beloved husband, father, friend, and resident, who died last Saturday after a courageous battle with cancer. Thor was diagnosed in 2024, and throughout his illness, he continued to display the same strength, determination, and love for life that defined him long before his diagnosis.
Thor was married to Taylor Kappers, and together they built a life focused on family, loyalty, and shared experiences. Above all, he was a devoted father to his two children, whom he supported and cherished deeply. Friends say his dedication to his family was clear in everything he did.
Known for his generous spirit and vibrant personality, Thor embraced life fully. He had a passion for motorcycles, travel, and the meaningful friendships he formed over the years. Those closest to him remember a man who worked hard, stood by others, and created lasting memories wherever he went.
A close friend from JT Custom Cycles shared a tribute that reflects the impact Thor had on those around him:
“You were such a great man, brother, friend, father, and husband. We had a ton of good times together — some we don’t remember and some I’ll never forget. We worked together for years at my bike shop you helped build. Traveling to Nashville all the time, living life to the fullest and never skipping a beat. You truly lived every day like it could be your last. I hope you’re up there with your dad and grandpa looking down on all of us. I’ll see you in the next life, my friend. Love you, my brother.”
