Mishawaka Shooting: Suicide at Discount Tire Leaves One Dead

MISHAWAKA INDIANA, Mishawaka Police responded to a shooting at the Discount Tire store on Grape Road just before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, where one person was found dead.
According to police, the incident appears to have involved a self-inflicted gunshot wound that occurred inside an office within the business. Officers confirmed that employees and customers were inside the building at the time of the shooting.
Authorities stated there is no ongoing threat to the public, and the situation was quickly secured once officers arrived on scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
As a result of the incident, Discount Tire closed for the remainder of the day. Police remained on site for several hours conducting their investigation and speaking with witnesses.
Mishawaka Police emphasized that the shooting was an isolated incident and reassured the community that there is no danger related to the event.
