MILWAUKEE, Wis. Lance White has been identified as the suspect in the fatal shooting of Alicia Renee Machnik, a 29-year-old mother of two who was killed Wednesday afternoon on the city’s northwest side, according to family members and police.
Milwaukee police said the shooting occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. on January 14 near the intersection of Appleton Avenue and Silver Spring Drive, close to the Port Motel. Officers responding to the scene found Machnik suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Family members later identified the victim as Alicia Renee Machnik and said the suspected shooter was her boyfriend, Lance White. Loved ones described Machnik as a devoted mother whose death has left her family and community devastated.
Authorities have not released information regarding an arrest or provided additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Milwaukee police said the investigation remains ongoing.
