FBI Arrests Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitive in Mexico Years After Former Co-Worker’s Murder

WASHINGTON, The Federal Bureau of Investigation said it has arrested a man who had been on its Ten Most Wanted Fugitive list for nearly a decade.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced Saturday that Alejandro Rosales Castillo was taken into custody in Mexico a day earlier. Patel said Castillo has been wanted in connection with the 2016 murder of his former coworker, 23-year-old Sandy “Ly” Le, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“He has been wanted on charges for the 2016 murder of his former coworker, 23-year-old ‘Sandy’ Ly Le in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will remain in custody pending extradition back to NC,” Patel wrote in a post on social media.
According to previous reporting by WJZY, citing the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, two other suspects were charged in connection with Le’s murder. Felipe Ulloa was charged with accessory after the fact of murder, while Ahmia Feaster later surrendered to authorities and was extradited from Mexico to North Carolina, where she faced accessory charges.
Patel praised the efforts of FBI Charlotte along with other investigative partners who assisted in locating and apprehending Castillo.
Castillo is expected to remain in custody while extradition proceedings to North Carolina are arranged.
