Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Renton as Police Search for Suspects on NE 12th Street
Renton police are investigating a shooting reported Tuesday afternoon in the 4400 block of Northeast 12th Street as officers search for two suspects believed to be involved in the incident.
According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the area just before 5 p.m. after receiving multiple reports of gunfire. When police arrived, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot-related injuries. Officials stated that the victim’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
The victim was provided medical assistance at the scene before being transported to a medical facility for further treatment. No additional details about his condition have been released.
Following the shooting, police established a perimeter in the surrounding area and initiated a search for two suspects. King County’s Guardian One helicopter was deployed to assist officers on the ground as they canvassed nearby streets and neighborhoods.
Residents in the area were advised to remain alert as the search continued. Authorities also warned the public to expect a significant law enforcement presence while the investigation remains active.
