He was born and raised in the small town of Woodland, Alabama, where his early exposure to dentistry through his family helped shape his future path. From a young age, he developed a strong interest in healthcare and service, qualities that would define his career.
He was a proud graduate of the University of Montevallo, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2005. He went on to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry (UAB), earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2009. Following graduation, Dr. McMillan began practicing general dentistry in New Hope, Alabama, providing much-needed dental care to the local community with dedication and integrity.
As his career progressed, Dr. McMillan developed a strong interest in endodontics, the dental specialty focused on treating the interior of the tooth, including root canal therapy. Driven by a desire to deepen his expertise, he returned to UAB to pursue advanced training. In 2021, he completed his residency and earned his Certificate in Endodontics. During this time, he was selected as chief resident in his second year, a role that reflected his leadership skills, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.
Dr. McMillan’s clinical expertise was matched by his exceptional approach to patient care. He was widely known for his warm, approachable demeanor and his ability to put patients at ease. His treatment philosophy emphasized conservative care, always seeking the least invasive options first and taking time to thoroughly explain procedures and alternatives.
