Authorities Investigate Incident Involving Two Guests at St. Regis Aruba Resort

ARUBA — Multiple law enforcement agencies are responding to a serious incident reported Sunday at a luxury resort in Aruba, where a newly married couple was found deceased as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
According to preliminary information, police and several ambulance units were dispatched to The St. Regis Aruba Resort, located at J.E. Irausquin Blvd. 75 E, after receiving a report of an individual who had fallen from an upper level of the hotel. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who had died at the scene after falling from the 12th floor. Authorities said the man succumbed to his injuries upon impact.
As part of the response, investigators searched the couple’s hotel room, where they discovered the body of an adult female. Police indicated that she had sustained injuries consistent with a firearm-related incident. Officials stated there were no signs of additional suspects involved at this time.
Authorities confirmed the couple had checked into the resort to celebrate their honeymoon after being married earlier in the weekend. Their identities have not been released as officials work to notify next of kin.
Out of an abundance of caution, law enforcement temporarily closed the hotel’s swimming pool area and restricted access to portions of the property connected to the incident. Guests were advised to avoid the affected areas while authorities conducted their investigation.
Officials said multiple agencies remain on scene, and the case is being actively investigated. Further information is expected to be released as investigators continue to review evidence and establish a clearer timeline of events.
