Woman Found Dead Outside San Diego Bar; Authorities Investigate Circumstances

Authorities confirmed that a California woman who previously drew national attention for her alleged involvement in a murder-for-hire case was found dead outside a popular bar in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood.
Tatyana Remley, 44, was discovered outside the Princess Pub & Grille, where investigators later determined her death was the result of a self-inflicted injury. Officials said there is no indication that anyone else was involved. The incident has shocked many and renewed public attention on a case that once made headlines across the country.
Remley had previously been accused of attempting to arrange the killing of her estranged husband, Mark Remley, a case that brought widespread media scrutiny at the time.
According to Mark Remley, the two spoke briefly shortly before her death. He said Tatyana contacted him while she was out and expressed frustration about a man she was with that evening. Mark said she appeared distressed during the call and told him the individual she was with was behaving poorly.
Mark said he urged her to leave the situation and asked whether she wanted him to contact emergency services or arrange help for her. He told her that support was available if she felt unsafe.
According to Mark, Tatyana declined the offer, telling him she could handle the situation herself before ending the call. He said he had no indication at the time that anything more serious was about to occur.
When Remley did not return home or reach out afterward, Mark said he became concerned. The following day, he contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and filed a missing person report.
Authorities later confirmed that Remley had been found deceased outside the bar during the overnight hours. Law enforcement officials have not released detailed information about the moments leading up to her death and have stated that the investigation found no evidence of foul play.
The case remains closed pending routine administrative review, and officials have emphasized the importance of compassion and sensitivity when discussing incidents involving mental health and personal loss.
