Nash Douglas Berry Obituary: Loved Ones Remember Him After Fatal Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 15
On the evening of December 11, a devastating wrong-way crash on Interstate 15 in Las Vegas claimed the life of 20-year-old Nash Douglas Berry and left several others injured. According to Nevada State Police, the collision occurred just before 7 p.m. near the Interstate 15 and Charleston Boulevard interchange, north of the northbound Interstate 11 HOV ramp. What began as an ordinary drive for many quickly turned into a tragic and life-altering event.
Investigators stated that Nash was driving a 2006 Honda Accord southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15. A Tesla and a Chevrolet Tahoe encountered the vehicle and attempted to avoid a collision, but both were unable to do so. The Honda struck the Tesla, while the Chevrolet Tahoe collided with a wall. The chain reaction continued as Nash’s vehicle went on to strike a Ford Bronco, a Nissan Altima, and a Toyota Camry, resulting in a multi-vehicle crash involving at least five vehicles.
Nash Douglas Berry was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three other individuals were transported to area hospitals, with two reported to be in serious condition and one sustaining minor injuries. Authorities have not released further updates regarding those hospitalized as the investigation continues.
