Early Morning Vehicle Accident in Dallas County Claims Life of Orrville Resident Brenda Leshore

A tragic single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning claimed the life of a Dallas County woman, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). The deadly wreck occurred just after sunrise, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.

ALEA officials said the crash happened at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Alabama Highway 5 near mile marker 45, about eight miles north of Safford. The roadway, frequently used by local residents, became the scene of emergency response as state troopers and first responders arrived to assess the situation and secure the area.

Investigators identified the victim as 65-year-old Brenda D. Leshore of Orrville. Authorities stated that Leshore was driving alone when her vehicle left the roadway for reasons that have not yet been determined. After departing the road, the vehicle struck several trees before overturning, resulting in severe damage.

ALEA reported that Leshore was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. During the rollover, she was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that no other vehicles were involved and no additional injuries were reported.

The fatal crash serves as a somber reminder of the dangers associated with traveling without proper restraints. Law enforcement officials continue to emphasize that wearing a seat belt significantly reduces the risk of serious injury or death, particularly in single-vehicle crashes involving rollovers or collisions with fixed objects.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the incident to determine what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. At this time, authorities have not released further information regarding speed, road conditions, or other potential contributing factors.
