Cortney and Brad Bartholomew Detained as Investigation Into Rebecca Park’s Death Deepens

Authorities have detained two individuals as part of an expanding investigation into the death of 26-year-old Rebecca Kay Park, who was found deceased earlier this month in Michigan.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that Cortney Marie Bartholomew and Brad Bartholomew were taken into custody for questioning after investigators collected multiple items from their residence, including vehicles, as part of the ongoing case review. Authorities have not announced any formal charges at this time.
Rebecca, who was nine months pregnant, was last seen on November 3 near her mother’s home in Boon Township. Conflicting early descriptions about the vehicle she may have entered prompted further scrutiny from investigators.
Her cellphone was discovered shortly after her disappearance, adding another layer of complexity to the timeline. Public interest in the case intensified when online discussions raised questions about statements made in the early days of the investigation. Law enforcement, however, has not confirmed many of the circulating claims.
After a 21-day search, Rebecca was found deceased near the area where she was last seen. Additional details about her condition and the status of the infant have not been publicly released by authorities.
Following the discovery of her body, Rebecca’s sister, Kimberly Park, and her fiancé, Richard Falor, were arrested. Kimberly faces charges including tampering with evidence, making false statements, and filing a false report. Falor was taken into custody on unrelated drug charges.
Investigators have emphasized that the case remains active and evolving. Further updates will be released as autopsy results, forensic evidence, and additional statements are reviewed.
Authorities have also stated that more charges are possible as the investigation continues.
