Brooklyn: Officer Injured, Suspect Barricaded During Ongoing Police Operation

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Emergency personnel and law enforcement agencies responded Friday to a critical situation on Thomas S. Boyland Street, where a police officer was shot during an encounter with a suspect.
According to early reports, the officer sustained a gunshot wound during the initial response to the incident. The suspect, believed to be armed with a shotgun, then barricaded himself inside an apartment at the location.
