Aliyah Miles killed in Fort Worth shooting

FORT WORTH, Texas — A woman was fatally shot and another injured during a violent incident early Sunday morning at an apartment complex in Fort Worth, according to police.
The Fort Worth Police Department identified the deceased victim as Aliyah Miles.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 3:45 a.m. in the 1800 block of E. Robert Street, where they discovered Miles inside a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Miles and the second shooting victim had arrived at the apartment complex with the intention of confronting a group of women already at the location.
As their vehicle—driven by the surviving victim—approached the group, unidentified suspects opened fire, striking both individuals and the vehicle multiple times.
Following the gunfire, both the suspects and the individuals involved in the altercation fled the scene.
Shortly afterward, police reported that another gunshot victim arrived at a hospital for treatment and is believed to be connected to the same incident.
That individual’s identity and condition have not been released.
The Fort Worth Police Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.
No arrests have been made at this time, and authorities are working to identify the suspects and determine the full circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Fort Worth Police Department.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
