Teacher Arrested After Alleged Inappropriate Relationship With 16-Year-Old Student at Sprague High School

SPRAGUE WASHINGTON, A high school teacher in Washington state has been arrested following allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old student, according to court documents.
Madeline Gregory, also known as Madeline Scoon, a teacher at Sprague High School, was taken into custody as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged misconduct involving a minor.
The case began after the student’s parent contacted authorities upon discovering concerning messages on the teen’s phone. Investigators reviewed the communications, which indicated an inappropriate relationship between the teacher and the student.
According to officials, surveillance footage and witness statements suggested the teacher and student spent time together outside normal school activities, including after school hours.
Authorities allege that the relationship developed over a period of time, during which the teacher maintained ongoing contact with the student through messages and in-person meetings.
Investigators also stated that the teacher shared personal issues with the student and attempted to maintain the relationship, even when the student reportedly tried to distance himself.
The teacher was later taken into custody and appeared in Lincoln County District Court, where she faced charges related to alleged misconduct involving a minor and inappropriate communication.
Her bond was set at $50,000, and the court ordered that she have no contact with minors as the case proceeds.
Officials with the Sprague School District stated that they are treating the allegations seriously and are cooperating fully with law enforcement.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have indicated that additional details may be released as the case develops.
