Wyoming Stabbing Suspect Arrested After Evacuation at Jackson Albertsons

JACKSON WYOMING, Dozens of workers and shoppers were temporarily forced outside an Albertsons grocery store Monday afternoon after a reported law enforcement incident prompted an evacuation.

Authorities were alerted shortly before 12:45 p.m. after a report of a man with a knife in the parking lot of the Albertsons. Emergency page-outs indicated the situation was being investigated by local law enforcement.

By 12:53 p.m., store management evacuated the building as a precaution while officers responded to the scene. Multiple patrol vehicles from the Jackson Police Department and the Teton County Sheriff’s Office were seen in the parking lot as authorities worked to secure the area.

Dozens of employees and customers waited outside the store during the response while officers addressed the situation.

A spokesperson for the Jackson Police Department later confirmed that there was no ongoing threat to public safety and that the individual involved had been taken into custody without further incident.

Following the arrest and a brief investigation at the scene, the store was cleared to reopen. Employees and customers were allowed back inside at approximately 1:15 p.m., and normal operations resumed.

Police have not released additional details about the individual involved or any potential charges. The incident remains under investigation.
