ICE Announces New Arrest in Southeastern Massachusetts, Reports Over 700,000 Arrests in 2025

BRIDGEWATER MASSACHUSETTS, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has announced a recent arrest and released updated enforcement statistics.
According to Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Boston, on February 26, ICE officers arrested Walens Fenelon, a Haitian national, during operations in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
Officials stated that Fenelon’s criminal history includes convictions for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, as well as assault and battery on a person 60 years of age or older.
Authorities also reported that Fenelon has an additional arrest and an open charge for violation of an abuse prevention order.
In a separate update, the Department of Homeland Security stated that in 2025, DHS law enforcement agencies have arrested more than 700,000 individuals identified as being in the United States without legal status. According to DHS data, nearly 70 percent of those arrested have been charged with or convicted of a crime in the United States.
Officials indicated that enforcement operations remain ongoing, with further updates expected as additional information becomes available.
