UNC Student Death Under Investigation at Chapel Hill Residence Hall

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Authorities are investigating the death of a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill over the weekend.
According to officials, campus police responded to Craige North Residence Hall after receiving a report that a student had been found unresponsive inside a dorm room. First responders arrived and assessed the situation, and the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The student’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
University police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. At this time, no additional details have been made public.
