A native of Salisbury, Maryland, Greg was born on May 27, 1969, in Dover, Delaware, and was the cherished son of Harold and Georgia Clendaniel. Those who knew him described Greg as someone with a rare presence—quietly magnetic, deeply grounding, and unmistakably kind. He drew people in through sincerity, loyalty, and a genuine willingness to give of himself.

Greg was, above all, a devoted father who deeply loved his children, Julia Clendaniel and Gabriel Clendaniel, and was equally loved by them in return. He was also a loyal and dependable friend, known for showing up without hesitation, regardless of the circumstances. His relationships were meaningful and lasting, built on trust and care.

For many years, Greg was an integral part of the TidalHealth / Peninsula Regional community, where he was regarded as more than a coworker. He was known as someone who could “fix anything,” and his presence often brought comfort during challenging moments. During the holiday season, Greg volunteered his time dressing as an elf to help deliver Christmas gifts to families at Buckingham and throughout the Salisbury area, spreading joy where it was needed most.

Following his passing, friends and colleagues shared an outpouring of tributes, describing Greg as irreplaceable, iconic, and one of a kind. His absence is deeply felt, particularly within the halls of TidalHealth, where his impact remains evident.

Greg was also a creative spirit. He was a talented musician, filmmaker, and storyteller who loved bringing ideas to life. Creativity was central to who he was, driven by curiosity, imagination, and a deep appreciation for storytelling.

He once shared words that now resonate as a reflection of his outlook on life:
“I’ll race you to the sun, I’ll race you to the dark, I’ll race you to the light.”
Those close to him say the sentiment captured his adventurous and fearless nature.

Greg found happiness in nature, joy in everyday moments, and laughter in life’s simple pleasures. Known as a big kid at heart, he had a way of making difficult situations feel lighter and more manageable.

Greg is survived by his partner Kate Stefanovicova; the mother of his children, Tara Hazel; his children Julia and Gabriel; his parents Harold and Georgia Clendaniel; his brother Michael (Kristin) Clendaniel; nieces Logan and Rory Clendaniel; nephew Holden (Michaela) Clendaniel; and an extended family of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by several beloved family members, including his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Holloway Funeral Home, located at 501 Snow Hill Road in Salisbury, Maryland. Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by the service at 4:00 p.m.

Though his life ended unexpectedly, Greg Clendaniel’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and compassion lives on through the many people whose lives he touched.
