Conway County House Fire Claims Lives of Three Children, Investigation Underway

CONWAY COUNTY, A fire north of Morrilton claimed the lives of three children Monday evening, according to the Conway County Fire Department.

Firefighters from multiple stations responded to reports of a residential fire around 9 p.m. Monday, along with emergency crews from Med-Tech EMS.

Authorities said the initial call indicated three children were trapped inside the home. When responders arrived, the house was already fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters made several attempts to enter the residence, but heavy fire conditions and structural involvement prevented a successful rescue. The three children were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Conway County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation into what caused the fire.
