Williamsburg Stabbing: One Dead and Woman Injured Near Ross and Home Depot in Williamsburg, VA

WILLIAMSBURG VIRGINIA, A violent incident occurred Wednesday in Williamsburg, leading to a large law enforcement response after a woman was stabbed at Ross Dress for Less and the suspect later fled to a nearby Home Depot, where police shot him.
According to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Mooretown Road after receiving reports of a stabbing inside the Ross store. Employees confirmed that a woman was stabbed in the neck and required immediate medical attention.
The suspect then reportedly ran from the scene and entered the adjacent Home Depot. Authorities stated that during the pursuit, the individual was shot multiple times by law enforcement and was pronounced dead at the location.
More than 25 officers responded, including deputies, local police, and emergency medical teams. Both Ross and Home Depot were placed on lockdown as officers secured the area and began their investigation.
Officials confirmed that the stabbing and shooting remain under investigation, and no additional suspects are being sought at this time. The identities of those involved have not been released, and the injured woman is reportedly receiving medical care.
