FULLERTON, Calif. — Fullerton Union High School was placed on an immediate lockdown Wednesday following an incident on campus that prompted a heavy police presence.
Authorities confirmed that law enforcement units were dispatched to the school, located at 201 E. Chapman Avenue, where officers secured the campus as a precautionary measure. Multiple police vehicles were seen in and around the school as the situation developed.
School officials have not released specific details about what led to the lockdown. As of now, there have been no reports of injuries or arrests, and officials have not said how long the lockdown is expected to remain in place.
Parents and community members were advised to avoid the area while police and school administrators worked to address the situation. Students and staff were instructed to remain in secured locations in accordance with established safety protocols.
