Ashley Delucca and Andre Littles Killed in Ambridge Shooting

AMBRIDGE PA, A suspect is in custody after a double homicide that left two people dead early Sunday morning in Ambridge, police said.

The Ambridge Police Department stated that officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Locust Street around 2:30 a.m. after receiving several reports of gunfire in the area.

According to a witness, the shots appeared to have been fired from inside a nearby residence.

When officers entered the home, they found two victims, a man and a woman, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the victims as Andre Littles, 54, of Pittsburgh, and Ashley Anne Delucca, 38, of Ambridge.

Investigators quickly identified a suspect and issued a regional alert to surrounding law enforcement agencies.

At approximately 8:37 a.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol informed Ambridge police that the suspect had been apprehended following a vehicle crash in Zanesville, Ohio.

The suspect was identified as Howard James Thomas Jr., 39, of Ambridge.

Authorities said Thomas was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment before being placed into custody.

Police confirmed that Thomas was arrested on a warrant charging him with two counts of homicide.

Ambridge Mayor Tina Iorfido-Schmidt released a statement offering condolences and reassuring the community that there is no ongoing threat. She said she was deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and extended sympathy to the families and loved ones of the victims.

The mayor also thanked police officers, first responders, and investigators for their professionalism and dedication, adding that the investigation remains ongoing.

Officials emphasized that there is no danger to the public at this time.
