Maine Murder Suspect Arrested After Multi-State Police Chase Ends in New Hampshire Crash

DUNBARTON, N.H. A man wanted in connection with a murder investigation in Maine was arrested Saturday morning after a police chase that ended in a crash in Dunbarton, New Hampshire, officials said.
New Hampshire State Police said troopers responded after being alerted by Lowell police, who were pursuing a vehicle traveling northbound on I-93 toward New Hampshire. Authorities learned the driver, identified as 55-year-old Dane Burke of Skowhegan, Maine, was wanted in connection with a homicide investigation.
After crossing into New Hampshire, police said the driver refused to stop. The pursuit continued until the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree in Dunbarton.
Burke was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries. Authorities said he is expected to be extradited to Maine to face charges related to the homicide investigation.
